I never thought i would love LA as much as i did. I mean, i knew it was going to be amazing, just not THAT amazing!
The flight over went surprisingly smoothly and fast, arriving in LA approximately 1 hour before we left Melbourne – weird, right? Went straight to the hotel via crazy armenian taxi driver. The Roosevelt in Hollywood was beautiful, dimly lit and filled with beautiful rich colours, dark leather chesterfield and touches of red velvet and gold ornate fixtures. I especially loved the front main doors that sparkled like crystal, at all times – so pretty!
Tuesday consisted of more shopping, including a visit to MAC (make-up, not the computers) where I had my first of many celebrity sightings – Beecher from Oz was getting his make up done, awesome! Then headed back to the hotel to get ready for a big night out. My friend Kyle mentioned a free gig at The Roxy with All Hail The Yeti and Gemini Syndrome. Both bands totally blew me away and I had one of THE best nights of my life. A couple of raspberry vodkas down and once the bands finished, we headed next door to The Rainbow Bar & Grill and continued partying. I met so many lovely people, everyone was super nice and friendly and the Rainbow is definitely a great place to party.
The next 5 days consisted of eating lots of disgustingly awesome, oversized meals, drinking raspberry vodka, meeting cool peeps, sightseeing (including a drive to Santa Monica & Venice Beach), a tour of celebrity homes, more raspberry vodka, partying till 5am, sleep ins followed by room service and shopping on melrose avenue.
I’ve wanted to travel to LA for as long as I can remember and I cannot believe I didn’t do it sooner. I had the time of my life! LA totally felt like home to me and i can’t wait to go back.
Here are some photos from my trip

On the plane to LA with J – very excited!

Just hanging out in my room at The Roosevelt in Hollywood.

Spent the day with Aiden and visited Belladonna Entertainment studio’s in Downtown LA. I got presents!

With Rhi at Rainbow Bar & Grill in West Hollywood.

These guys are amazing! Hanging with Gemini Syndrome.

Driving to Venice Beach / Santa Monica in a convertible Mustang.

At Carneys Express. I had a chilli cheeseburger and it was delicious!

I <3 Victoria’s Secret panties!
I am so freaking excited! In TWO weeks I will be on a plane heading to Los Angeles!
This is my first ever trip out of Australia, so it’s a massive deal to me. I have been dreaming of this moment for years and years and it is actually happening, eeeek!
I’m really looking forward to the simple things – meeting people, the food, walking into a supermarket and seeing different items, driving on the wrong side of the road, In & Out burger, seeing the Hollywood sign, eating a cupcake from Sprinkles, trying real Mexican food, palm trees, roller blading on Venice Beach, bar hopping on the strip and sharing this adventure with my gorgeous husband and two good friends – Rhi & Garth.

Then we are off to VEGAS for 6 nights. I’ve heard so many conflicting stories on Vegas, but i’m pretty sure it will be totally amazing! Can’t wait to see all the different hotels and casinos, I don’t gamble but i’ll be having a drink in every one of them! (is that even possible in 6 nights?)

I haven’t even left yet and I already feel like I don’t want to come home! If all goes well and I still love the place, I am already planning on going back over christmas
Now, if I can just find a way to do some shoots/movies while i’m over there, without having to illegally marry someone or obtain US I.D. – my life will be complete!
Can’t wait to update about my adventure!

Airports. They are so full of emotion. Whether it’s greeting an arrival, sadly saying farewell or on your own self planned adventure. I could sit and people watch there all day, watching lives change and the exact moment of a strangers soon to be memory.
For me, it’s always exciting. I feel like a little girl at Christmas time, when Santa used to visit.
Here’s to upcoming adventures!
